Terms and Conditions of Run/Walk For Life Membership
GENERAL
Hereunder are the Terms and Conditions which cover and regulate your membership of any Run/Walk For Life Club (RWFL). Individual Clubs may, from time to time, display their own additional operational rules.
All or some of these rules may be modified or suspended from time to time. It is the responsibility of the member to be aware of any such changes, as displayed on the RWFL website.
If you do not comply with the rules and regulations or are under investigation for non-compliance with such, RWFL may, depending on the circumstances:
- temporarily suspend your membership;
- ask you to leave the Club;
- deny you Club access;
- cancel your RWFL membership.
The decision of RWFL in this regard is final and binding.
FEES
All RWFL memberships are for an agreed period of time, as specified in your membership receipt. RWFL does not allow the early release from its membership contracts, unless it is for medical reasons, and RWFL is satisfied with the reasonableness of such.
- Membership fees are paid in advance.
- Any crediting of membership time is solely at the discretion of the Club coach.
- Any member who wishes to exit their contract before the expiry of such, will be liable for all remaining fees on the said contract.
TIMES OF OPERATING
All members are requested to adhere to the set starting times of their Clubs, and EARLY starting of sessions by members is NOT permitted.
MEMBERSHIP TRANSFERING
Paid up memberships are fully transferable, to any Club Nationally, at no additional cost to the member.
MEMBER KIT
During official sessions, for safety reasons and reasons of identification, ONLY official RWFL Clothing may be worn.
SAFETY ON THE ROAD
Members are required to abide by the RWFL Safety On The Road rules and regulations, as amended from time to time. Included in these (this is not an extensive list) are the following:
- No valuables, such as cell phones may be taken on the road;
- No valuable jewellery should be worn while out on the road;
- Headphones may not be worn during sessions.
TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP
RWFL, at its sole discretion, may terminate the membership of any member, should the Franchisee and or Head office deem such in the best interests of the Club or the RWFL Group.
REFUND OF MEMBERSHIP
RWFL only offers membership refunds under the following conditions:
- The member has been advised by a medical partitioner that due to a health condition, they are no longer permitted to exercise;
- The member relocates to a new town where there is no Run/Walk For Life Franchise.
Where a refund is granted, such shall be calculated on a pro-rata basis.
OPERATING TIMES, DAYS AND VENUES
At times, RWFL may, for operational reasons, change individual Club operating days, times and or venues. RWFL has the right to change either the days, times or venue of operations, in accordance with operational requirements. Members will be updated and informed of any such changes.
NEW MEMBERS
All members (including junior members) must complete and agree to the terms and conditions of RWFL’S online medical risk questionnaire, before using any RWFL facilities. As part of your membership application, you will also be agreeing to sign an assumption of risk, which simply states that you’re aware of, and take full responsibility for any applicable risks to your health (or your dependent’s health) when exercising at RWFL.
GENERAL
Firearms, ammunition or any other type of weaponry isn’t permitted anywhere on the Club premises unless the weapon is in the possession of an on-duty member of the national police force who is in the Club in his/her official capacity on police business or protecting an official person/government minister.
